The $35M Randalls Island amphitheater project was part of a larger $100M master plan to upgrade a neglected New York City park.  Planned with public and private funds, the amphitheater park land would have plazas, food carts, restrooms, seating, emergency access, and truck loading areas for the proposed 19,200-seat amphitheater.  Mature trees, steep slopes, and City park standards were part of the design program.  After completing CDs, the project’s construction was halted due to a legal dispute in 2002.  EDSA was the prime.
