Joan worked on Phase II of Las Casitas Condominiums, a luxury resort-style village constructed in 2003 as part of what is now a Waldorf Astoria property.  On a steep site overlooking the ocean and the golf course, these hilltop villas required strategic siting and grading to achieve integration between building and site.  The planning scope included the grading and layout of the villas, common areas and parking.  The landscape architecture scope covered the plazas, trellises, walks, infinity edge swimming pool, infinity edge whirlpool spa, special paving accents, multiple water features, wall fountains and pedestal fountains, sculptures, retaining walls, steps, ramp, railing, furniture selection and layout, fences, gates, private courtyards, signage, site lighting, and planting design.  EDSA was the prime.
